Happy New Year to all of our members.

Hope you all enjoyed the festivities and are ready for the 2017 season.


 

There has been a break in the tour playing schedule but the guys and girls are back practicing again with so much to look forward to.

There have been some equipment changes in the meantime, world number one Jason Day has signed with Nike for his footwear & apparel. Rory has gone with Callaway clubs and Titleist balls.

I think it will be a good year for the Northern Irish man. On the ladies tour Carly Booth has left Nike and signed up with Cobra-Puma for the 2017 season.


 

There have been quite a few competitions since the last newsletter before Christmas, too many to report on so the scores will feature in next weeks news and ongoing.

Congratulations to Alan Thompson for his lifetime coaching recognition from England Golf.

A very well deserved award.


 

The course is still in great shape for the time of year, as good as I can remember it in fact.

Let's keep it up by remembering to fill our divots and repair our pitch marks.
