In the 12 Hole Midweek Stableford last Thursday Christine Hancock was the winner with 22, Thea Cornford was runner up with 21.
In the men’s event, Mike Morris needed his back 6 score to pip Brian Edwards to top spot as both carded 3 under par 27 points. Third place with 26 was Rick Austin.
Winter League Round 2 It was round 2 of the winter league on Saturday, first to tee off was Mark Dunbar who’s 39 held firm all day in the Kenrick, runner up to Mark was Magdy Taher with 38, third with 37 was Peter Bellfield.
In the Blair Salver Rick Austin went round the course in fine fashion, 41 points, 21 on the back 9 and a 2 nett 1 on the difficult 15th. Not many people will record 5 points on that hole this winter. Runner up was Lee Pennington who will have been more than pleased with his score of 40, third place was James Smethurst with 39.
Yellow Ball Team Comp The ladies cut their Yellow Ball Team Comp to 12 holes on Tuesday because of the weather. There were some hardy souls that decided to play while others thought better of it.
The winning team with 39 points was Marg Shepherd, Pat Sheen & Ev Wilson, with 38 points the runners up were Kath Grainger, Judith Brown & Trish Lees. |
