The luck of the Irish!
The European Tour took a different form last week as mixed teams from all over the world headed to the Centurion Club for GolfSixes. In this pairs league and knock out format there were mixed teams, ladies, and gents teams, and also a shot clock with one golfer falling foul of this!
It was the luck of the Irish though as Gavin Moinighan chipped in on the last green to set up a final for himself and Paul Dunne against Frenchmen Mike Lorenzo Vera & Romain Wattel where they ran out 2-0 winners. In America there were 4 major winners in the top 10 going into the last 9 holes of the Wells Fargo championship on Sunday, but it was former number one Jason Day who had the last laugh as he claimed the trophy, is he on his way back to the top?
