Last week's winner were...
After a long series the Trotter has come to an end.
Ewan Mehra had the best aggregate total but being a junior member off higher than 5 he wasn’t eligible to win the title. Elliot Hawe had it all to do on Thursday to overtake Josh Parry and that he did, a ‘board’ competition is always a good one to win but a best of series one like this shows consistency throughout the season. Thursday’s event was hampered by the rain in the morning but we still had a good turnout for the final one, as Tom Kitchen played the last 6 holes in just 19 shots to record a winning score of 40 points, while Elliot Hawe was runner up with 38 and with the same score in third was Zac Bromhead. Blue tees or yellow tees and more rain was Saturday’s story. In the Autumn meeting in division one Carl Adams was the only player to break par with his 71 net 69 winning the meeting outright, runner up was Olly Davies Wilson with a 72 ahead of Andy Kitchen in third on the same score. Luke Clauge topped division two with a 75, Mike Thomas was second with 78 beating Jamie Lloyd on countback. In the yellow tee Stableford John Wakefield teed off in the worst of it but didn’t let that affect him as he nursed his ball around in 39 points, Mark Dunbar was second with 37, third with 34 was Jamie Powell. A special mention to Ethan Smith and Les Wollen who both recorded a ‘2’ on the testing par 4 10th Hole. It was lady Captains Prize finals day on Tuesday, for the qualifiers it was a 27 hole medal, and early conditions weren’t great but the day turned out to be fantastic. With scores of 77 & 37 the winner was Barbara Jamieson with a 114 today. Runner up and only 2 behind was Sue Banks with 75 & 41 for 116 and third place went to with 80 & 39 for 119. There was a Stableford in between for those not in the Lady Captains medal. Sheila Kenwright took top spot with 37, second with 35 was Theresa O’Neill and third with 33 was Thea Cornford. Congratulations to Jayesh and Alka Tank who pipped Peter and Alice Rogers at the death in a well contested mixed foursomes final on Sunday.
