Allez les bleus!
They did it - what a performance from the European Ryder cup team. After a miserable start to Friday morning, losing the session 3-1 what followed was magical. Tommy and Molinari formed an unbeatable partnership, Poulter the Postman delivered against the world’s best player and each and every one of our 12 scored at least a point. Just a fantastic weekend of golf!

A common trend...
The Midweek Stablefords carry on through the autumn, much to the delight of the man in-form, Elliot Hawe who, on countback (which is a common theme this week) beat John Reid and Pete Fisher after all 3 of them scored a level par 36 points.

Daniel claims finale!
The final medal of the season was played on Saturday for the St.Andrews meeting, and conditions were glorious for this blue tee challenge. The trophy was decided on countback as Daniel Ince (4) beat Ross Cornford (6) after the pair both netted a 70, third place went to Shaun Carter with a 73. Mike Taylor was the victor in Division Two with a 73, Mike Dooney was runner up with 74 and in third with 76 was Fred Williams. |
Paul continues fine-form...
In the Yellow tee Stableford Paul Cottrell continued his good season to card a winning 35, while Ken Davies was the unlucky runner up after a countback and in third with 34 was John Sharman. |
For the umpteenth time...
The St. Andrews meeting continued as the ladies played their final medal on Tuesday. Barbara Jamieson topped Division One for the umpteenth time this year with a 75, runner up was Sue Banks with 78 having beaten Trudi Harris on countback. In Division Two there was another countback to separate winner Chris Hancock from runner up Hilary Sharpe after two 78’s third with 79 was Theresa O’Neill. Bernie Jones won Division Three with a 75, second with 77 was Marg Nicholas and third on the same score was Sandra Jones. To sleeve or not to sleeve |
Being underprepared when you're out on the course is a blunder which we've all been guilty of making. As the cold weather starts rolling in, you need to start thinking about some layering pieces that keep you warm and dry, but also lets you have freedom of movement during your round. Luckily for you, we have just the answer. |
PING Caldern pullover PING has given you a perfect solution in the form of this pullover. The half-zip fleece is easy to take on and off when you're out on the course, meaning you can adapt your layering according to the temperature. The brushed back fabric adds additional warmth, and the different colourways available are all bold and unique in their own right. |
|
PING Sonic vest If you prefer the gilet look, then why not try the Sonic vest from PING?
