Weather plays its part...
There was no midweek stableford Thursday as the course was still frozen.
But we were open again, on temporary greens for the fourball better ball on Saturday, despite the tricky conditions scoring was good. Peter Walsh and Frank Gill combined well for a winning score of 33, runners up on the same score were Paul Fairclough & Stephen Jones, third with 32 were David Green & Dave Garratt. We were back on the greens on Tuesday but again it was cold. 61 brave ladies all opted for the 12 hole competition.
There was a tie at the top of division one, having both scored 19 points Judith Browns back 9 was marginally better than that of Kate Sparre - Dean, third with 16 was Sue Banks.
The same happened in division two all be it this time Annmaria Kitchen got the better of Kelly Marsh after a pair of 22’s, third was Marilyn Jones with 17.
There was a clear winner in division three as Margaret Nicholas carded a best of the day 26, second was Thea Cornford on 23 and third with 18 was Pat Platt.
Amanda Taylor was the winner in division four with 21, runner up was Anne Fisher with 20 and third on the same score was Kath Grainger.
