As an addition to my weekly newsletters, I will be doing a biweekly 'what's in the bag' feature. However, instead of using a professional's bag, I would like to run this using Heswall's members' bags! So come in the shop, let me have a rummage around and I will make suggestions based on your current equipment.
Rachel Goodall finished in the top 40 in her first year as a professional on the LET Access Tour. A great start, well done Rachel.
Seniors' Winter Stableford
Last Thursday saw the first round of the seniors' Winter Stableford. Congratulations to John Comer and Phil Taylor for coming in first and second places, respectively.
Ladies' Stableford
The ladies' competition on Tuesday fell afoul of Hurricane Gonzalo. The course wasn't closed however the wind speed meant that the balls would be blowing off the greens, especially along the front so the competition was cancelled.
Singles Stableford
Saturday's singles stableford fared better with a full field competing. In Division One Dave Hallett took the plaudits with 38 points, one point ahead of runner-up Colin Jones. In third, with 36 points, was Dave Cederholm. However, the runaway winner of the event came from Division Two where Russ Favager carded a flawless 42 points! It was nice to see Peter Rathe returning to the podium in second place with 37 points, one point ahead of Adrian Wright who pipped John West to third.
I have had two years working with Cobra Golf, playing and stocking their products. I have, however, gone for a brand swap for 2015 and will be introducing Nike Golf into the shop. I have also been appointed on to the Nike Swoosh advisory staff for the next two years and am excited about their range going forward.
This means that I have now started a Cobra EVERYTHING MUST GO sale on all products, with savings of £100 on drivers! I have everything from wedges to bags to offer - there are even a couple of left handed wedges going cheap!
