Stableford successes...
It was cold and windy day for the midweek Stableford on Thursday. Keith Rafferty didn’t mind, though, as he scored a winning 28 points. Runner-up was Dave Holgate with 25, which knocked my own card down to third! Steve Ladell carried on where he left off last week with 29 points in Saturday's Blair Salver. Harry Kennedy was second with 27 points and finishing in third, close behind with 26 points, was Mark Bentley. It was the same winning score in the Kenrick for Dave Thomas. Rob Jones then beat Martin Andrew and a host of others to confirm second place with 27 points. There was a 12 hole Stableford for the ladies on Tuesday. Sue Banks topped division one with 24 points on a countback from Kelly Marsh. A close third with 20 points was Trudi Harris. Anne Chadwick’s 26 points won division two ahead of Annemaria Kitchen with 25 points and Deb Mintowt with 23 points. It was a score of 25 points for Julie Graham that won division three as she best Alka Tank by four points, with Sylvia Comer in third with 20 points. Joint best score of the day went to Carolyn Warren in division four with 26 points, ahead of Trish Lees with 20 points and Yvonne Parker with 19 points. |
