Hi Golfers, hope you are all safe and well, and welcome to this edition of the weekly newsletter.

We are still available!
As you probably expect, there's not a lot to report from the Pro Shop. However, we continue to offer click and collect appointments on Tuesdays or Thursdays each week. If you need to collect an order, have your shoes re-spiked or even have your clubs re-gripped, we are here to help! Please get in touch with us via the button below if you'd like to reserve a slot to come and see us. |
Studio Upgrade
As you know, we tittivated the swing room during the last lockdown, and some of you even managed to have a go in there in the little time we were given to play before being shut down again.
There will (hopefully) be one final addition for when we return, the icing on the cake so to speak, so watch this space for more details! |
Every little helps!
It's been interesting for me getting to work more closely ( covid boundaries observed of course ) with the Greenstaff since lockdown, and when you're out playing golf it's amazing what you miss!
This week my time has been spent divotting the tees, and wow there are a lot of divots, so don't forget that when we get back out there! On the Par 3's especially, there is divot mix for you to use, all you need to do is pick up your own trowel from the pro shop and you're ready. Every little helps! This will then allow the greenstaff more time to maintain other areas of the course. We also obviously encourage you to take a divot bag with you to use through the green, don't just fill in your own, do a couple more along the way. We are starting to see signs of the course drying out now following some bright and breezy days. James was able to send the lads out on some of the machines in the early part of the week! Long may it continue and roll on Spring!

English top in Hawaii Tour golf is very much a way of life and an unforgiving one at that. As recently as 2019, Harris English was struggling to return to the PGA Tour, having lost his card and been demoted to the Korn Ferry Tour (this is the feeder tour to the PGA, much like the Challenge Tour in Europe). Now, English is a PGA Tour champion once again. The 31-year-old picked up his first victory since 2013 at the Sentry Tournament of Champions in Hawaii, having fought off Justin Thomas’ pursuit of a third title in five years at the event. What an achievement, and one for the sentimentalists. If you have any golf-related questions or enquiries, feel free to get in touch using the button below. |
