I hope everyone enjoyed an action-packed BMW PGA Championship from Wentworth this week. There were five hole-in-ones, Miguel Jimenez rolling back the years and Tommy Fleetwood pushing for the title all week. Next step for the tour is the Irish Open hosted by Rory McIlroy

Thu 21 May - Trotter 3 saw a three-way card play-off for top spot. Mark Bentley was the eventual winner, from Iain Colligan and Daniel Ince, all golfers finishing with a nett 72.
Sat 23 May - In Saturday's Spring Meeting the scoring was terrific considering it was the first comp of the year off the back tees. In Division One Alec Zelaskowski carded a nett 69 to top the tree, one back on 70 was Cameron McIvor with Adam Carter two back on 72. There will be an 18 hole play-off for the Dinn Scratch Cup between James Hornsby and Lloyd Hart after they both carded gross 72s. There was a welcome return to form for Paul Hennity in Division Two as he got the better of Ed Dhenin in a play-off after a pair of 72s, sadly for the pair of them the excitement was short lived as they watched events unfold at the Britannia Stadium the following day. Richard Knowlson collected third place with nett 75.
Mon 25 May - The bank holiday competiton this time was a mixed team event, a great format for getting the most out of the day. With a score of 42 on countback the winning team were Mr Captain/Lady Captain/Paul & Barbara Jamieson. In second were Jay & Alka Tank/Alan & Bernie Jones
Tue 26 May - Tuesday saw two competitions on the same day: 36 holes scratch for the Doris Brown Cup and an 18 hole Medal for the Charles Craig Salver. The winner of the Doris Brown with scores of 78 and 77 was Barbara Jamieson, runner-up with 81 and 77 was Lucy Jamieson. The lowest nett score and the winner of the Charles Craig Salver with a 71 was Alka Tank. The breakdown in divisions are as follows: Division One winner Trudi Harris 75, 2nd Barbara Jamieson 76, 3rd Lucy Jamieson 77. Division Two winner Wendy Smith 79, 2nd Jo Ratcliffe 80,3rd Sandra Jones 80. Division Three winner Hilary Sharpe 73, 2nd Sandra Cohen 79, 3rd Christine Hancock 80. Division Four winner Alka Tank 71,2 nd Jaqueline Walker 72, 3rd Gill Cooper 79.
In the Junior Spring Meeting, a proud moment for Junior Chairman Shaun Carter as his son Adam posted a nett 71 to take first place. Second was Tom Kitchen with a nett 73, keeping up his great recent form, and in third was Joe Demetrios with a nett 75.
In the 12-hole competition we had nine juniors take part. Winner with 27 points was Oliver Davies-Wilson, with Kate Cleary pipping James Lemon to second on a card play-off after both posted 25 points.
