Thu 4 Jun - Last Thursday's Trotter saw 91 people compete, close to a record I imagine. Topping the field was Richard Robinson with a superb 88 nett 68, runner up and glad to be back on the podium was James Smethurst with his 75 nett 69, and in third was Phil High with a score of 81 nett 71. Special mention for Tom Dolan for his best gross 69.

Sat 6 Jun - It was yet another windy day for the Gents' Invitation on Saturday. 168 played and there were plenty of good shots to be seen. With an incredible 46 points Harry Kennedy and his guest Steve Leigh stormed to victory, well done lads. Thank you for your support in the raffle, the main prize of a Motocaddy S1 Lite trolley and Pro Series cart bag went to John McNeill.

Tue 9 Jun - The ladies held their Team Invitation on Tuesday and we had glorious weather for this popular event. Congratulations to Ann Maria Kitchen and Theresa O'Neill and their guests Caroline Berry and Collie Faulkner both from Bromborough Golf Club. Their winning score was a magnificent 86 points.

Tue 9 Jun - Dave Lawless and I teed up at Formby Golf Club on Tuesday in the regional final of the Lombard Trophy. What a fantastic venue, if ever you get the chance it's a must play! We finished a respectable 12th out of a field of 70 but left more than a few shots out there, well I certainly did.
